MacBeth Evans Pink Petalware Salver Plate Depression Glass
Discontinued pattern produced from approx. 1930-1940
Characterized by petal shaped trim with scalloped edging and bullseye center / very soft pink with delicate frosting effect
This plate is in good condition noting some fine utensil marks only.
No chips or fractures
Measures approx.: 10 ¾”  (we also have 6 smaller 8" dessert plates available)
Salver plate is basically an all purpose tray that can be used for carrying cups or food to the table, as a platter for sandwiches, a cake plate or anything you can imagine. The term salva was also applied to the dish or tray on which the food or drink was presented after the tasting process.
