    Description

    Konichiwa!
    Meet Ken from Kyoto Japan
Like every doll I create Ken-
    chan
(dear, little) is completely handmade. I sculptured his head and face from Polymer clay, his hands and legs from resin
and based them on the many Japanese children I have observed and photographed as a helper at a nearby nursery school. His eyes are crystal that I hand painted. His hair is genuine human hair that I bought in bulk. His body is made of resin covered with silk cloth. His formal men's kimono, overcoat, and pleated
    hakama
trousers I designed, cut, and hand sewed from antique kimono silk cloth (see Photos). He comes already mounted on his tatami-mat and wood block stand. As I hope my photos of him and his kimono show, he is a one hundred percent authentic Japanese male. I'm sure you will find him a delightful and lifelike companion in your home. But
    please
take very good care of him.
I'm sorry, but much as it breaks my heart to see any of my children leave, you cannot return Ken-chan to me.
I also apologize for the high shipping cost. FedEx International Economy rates from Japan are extremely expensive and UPS is even more expensive.
    Sincerely,
    Kimiko Aso, Kyoto, Japan
