Description

Very nice German imprint from Kutztown, PA in 1852.  It measures 6 by 4 inches.
The title of the book translated is,
The singer at the grave:  A selection of songs for use at funerals; as well as comfort songs for those who mourn the death of the deceased.
This book was owned by Celesta Sechler.  I am fairly sure I have identified her.
A death certificate for Celesta A. Sechler states she was born 02 Dec 1879 in Pennsburg, died 18 Nov 1943 in Pennsburg and was the daughter of George Trumbore and Susanna Bechtel.
It also says her occupation was “Bag Maker” for a “Paper Bag Co.”
She is buried at Pennsburg UCC Cemetery with her husband Leo O. Sechler (1877-1922).
