This listing is for a stunning Daum French Art Glass novelty box with a mottled brownish-red color glass corset shaped base with a fitted dore bronze lid in an Art Nouveau style, c. 1910. The lid has a bright dore bronze finish with large beads around bottom edge and a swirl handle. Lid marked on the interior with unidentified trademark stamp. The box is a nice size to be used as a candy dish.
Measures 6 1/2" high (as shown with lid in place), 4" high (base only) with a 4 3/8" diameter top and an overall width of 5 1/2". Combined weight is 2.3 pounds.
Both the glass base and the bronze lid are in excellent Estate condition with no noted flaws and reflecting only minimal signs of normal wear.
