Genealogy of the Westfield, N.J. Branch of the Scudder Family
    By Alanson H. Scudder
"Genealogy of the Westfield, N.J. Branch of the Scudder Family" by Alanson H. Scudder, privately published, no date, 6" x 9" hardcover (brown leather on boards with gilt lettering), 32 pages, not illustrated.
Laid in are a 1925 active membership list of the Scudder Association of America and a report on the 1927 annual meeting.
The New England Historic Genealogical Society tentatively dates the book to 1902. The book starts with John Scudder, who settled on Long Island in 1662. His grandson, also John, left Newtown for Westfield in 1698.
The book is in fair to good condition: Clean pages, a couple of marginal notes including one correction, sound text block, boards nearly detached, about half the backstrip gone, extremity wear and rubbing to the boards, owner's name in pencil on the front free endpaper. Not ex-library.
