1974 P+D+S Lincoln Cent Six Coin Small and Large Date Penny Set - BU

Description

By 1974 the Mint was seeking a better (less expensive) material out of which they could continue making small cents at a cost that would still be profitable to the operation of the mint. Aluminum was tested at the West Point facility, and was found to be undesirable as a replacement for the current coin's brass composition. Somewhere in the midst of these actions the design was changed - probably to reduce die stress. This change resulted in large and small date cents for all 1974 cent issues (except the proof cents which are ALL large date). This set contains uncirculated examples of all six varieties minted in 1974 for business use. The images in this listing are stock images representative of the product and condition of the item being sold.

I can ship TWO rolls for First Class Rate of .50 - I can ship from 3 to 20 rolls for a Small Flat Rate Priority box rate of .75 - and I can ship from 21 to 100 rolls for a Medium Flat Rate Priority box rate of .50. This price includes packaging labor and materials, and is slightly above the average exact postal rates for that reason.
