1955 1956 Chevy Truck Steering Column OEM Original

Description

This listing is for a nice steering column from a 1955 Chevy 1/2 ton pickup.  The steering shaft and gear turn freely as they should and the splines for the pitman arm are straight as shown in the pictures.  The threaded end for the steering wheel nut has nice straight threads that the picture shows.  This will work for 1955 & 1956 Chevy 1/2 ton trucks and may work for 3/4 ton trucks from the same years.  Check your application to be sure.  It will not work for 1957-1959 model years.  I do have a steering column from those years available in another listing.
The grey color on the Pitman arm splines is duct tape glue residue from where I had put tape around the splines to protect them.
